Tornado - New Exhibit

Tornadoes cause more than $1 billion in damages and over 80 deaths per year in the United States. One of the main types of damage is building collapse. We have built a tornado simulator which we use to understand the effects of tornadoes on buildings and other structures. We are working to understand the way that buildings fail in tornado winds so that we can reinforce them better.
